Just a quick bit about who is behind this site…My name is Joe Palumbo and I live near Trenton, New Jersey. I am the proud father of three sons and eight grandchildren. My objective for this website and in writing this guide is to educate all seniors (62 years & older) on the pros & cons of reverse mortgages based on their own financial needs.

While working as an executive for a large telecommunications company for 22 years, my numerous experiences involved information systems, auditing and finance. After retiring early from the telecommunications company, I held financial planning positions with a Wall Street financial services company and a large, national bank.

As a result of researching the reverse mortgage concept for a relative, I became intrigued and read all the literature (pro & con) available at the time. At the end of my study, I relayed the advantages & disadvantages and recommended the product based on this relative’s financial objectives. In fact, I was so impressed with the viability of reverse mortgages that I obtained my own reverse mortgage in 2005 (and couldn’t be happier).
